However, I'm trying to remember that I'll see him in a couple of weeks. And that I'm feeling worse about the distance than I normally would because I'm not feeling great, eating well or sleeping well.
I'm going to try to take it (and everything else) a day at a time. Ultimately, we are very lucky to have each other even if we can't spend as much time together as we'd like.

Wendy,
I have been in a long distance relationship with my husband for 4 years (8 months of which we have been married). He is 3 hours away from me and we are lucky if we get to see each other once a month. We still have at least another year of being apart. Plus, I just found out a couple weeks ago that his advisor is sending him to Paris for 3 months on April 6th (the longest we have gone without seeing each other is 2 months). Plus, if he gets a fellowship he might go back for a couple more months. Long distance relationships suck. It is normal to cry hysterically like an infant the day you have to say goodbye...but as the week progresses it gets better. I just wanted you to know that you are not alone. Many times it does feel like you are completely alone in a long distance relationship because everyone around you has the luxury of living with their significant other. Good Luck!
Thanks for the encouraging words and making me feel less alone. I can't imagine what it would be like to be married and to have to deal with the distance.
